Tonight we selected Ratatouille as our movie. It is about a lovable rat and a wannabe cook, Remy, who dreams of becoming a gourmet chef. I dream of putting together theme nights that go along with a movie that Kiddo would enjoy watching.
During a routine extermination at his home in Provence, France, Remy suddenly gets separated from his family. A twist of fate lands him in the sewers of Paris, outside his culinary hero’s legendary restaurant, Gusteau’s. With the helping (human) hands of lowly garbage boy Linguini, Remy gets his wish to create magical gourmet dishes that ignite a new buzz around the struggling restaurant.
We created lots of fun food tonight with the help of our little Chef…mostly he likes to do the clean up with the water running in the sink for as long as he can keep it going!
Our desserts were Eiffel Towers one with fruit and one with wafer cookies! Mostly they look like “The Leaning Eiffel Tower!” No gourmet pastry chef at our house tonight! Fun nonetheless!
Remy Pizza was his favorite…he ate all four piece by himself. Exactly what we expected!
Part of the spread ready for dinner!
Spaghetti and Pizza are hardly French….but we fixed what worked for us tonight!
On to the movie………….Enjoy the evening!
