Today we celebrated the 110th birthday of Dr. Seuss. I must be one of those nostalgic teachers that never tires of finding something to open up the imagination and ignite a love for learning!
We started early this morning with a reading of “Green Eggs and Ham”…I knew there would be turned up noses if I really made green eggs for breakfast…so wait until dinner!
We made truffle trees…so much fun! Plumbing insulation tubes, tissues paper…and colorful duct tape made these trees come to life!
Ryan did his best to read to Kendry…..under the truffle trees!
Dinnertime Green Eggs and Ham – green beans & potatoes
for dessert Cat in the Hat Fruit Kabobs…again since they were a hit at breakfast!
“The more you read the more things you will know. The more you learn the more places you’ll go!”
We thank you Dr. Seuss for filling our day with imagination and fun!
One more smell of the truffle trees…..Good Night!
